Chris Moody

Chris Moody is the VP of Data Strategy at Twitter where he is responsible for ensuring that the value of Twitter’s data is realized across the entire ecosystem of developers, partners, and customers. Previously, he was the CEO of Gnip, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of social data, which was acquired by Twitter in the spring of 2014. Gnip delivers more than 5 billion social activities per day, and their data distribution network includes more than 95% of the Fortune 500.
Chris is considered a pioneer in the social data industry and has worked closely with leading social platforms such as Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare, WordPress, Disqus and more to formulate and execute their data strategies. He currently serves as Chairman of the Big Boulder Initiative an industry association dedicated to ensuring the long terms success of the social data ecosystem.
Chris is an active TechStars mentor. He also facilitates a monthly CEO Lunch for startups in Boulder. He is also a proud supporter of NCWIT via his #MoodyPics initiative.
He lives with his wife, Sarah Ahn, and 3 kids in Boulder, Colorado
